Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements. Assist in the representation of clients before taxing authorities.
Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Help manage a portfolio of clients – acting as a key point of contact. Improve overall performance of engagements including staff development, project budgets, billing, and collections.
Advise clients and identify opportunities for tax planning and other consulting services. Participate in marketing and business activities to grow the firm.
Provide leadership, management, and training to Tax Seniors and Tax Staff. Help manage the allocation of work to the staff group, review their work product, and submit to the partner for final review. Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with an emphasis on Accounting or Finance
Experience Requirement:
- 6 years of tax preparation experience
Special Requirements:
- Experience managing multiple client engagements and client service teams; and
- Possession of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or an Enrolled Agent (EA) certificate. This requirement may be temporarily waived for candidates with at least 8 years of related experience and a commitment to obtain CPA licensure or EA certification within one year from the date of hire.
