Sacramento, Calif., July 27, 2015 – BFBA, LLP announces a merger with Sacramento-based Zezoff, Yuen & Co. CPAs (ZY). The merger will allow BFBA to expand and bolster the scope of its tax, audit and advisory services.

Both ZY and BFBA share expertise in various industries, including construction and real estate. The merger strengthens BFBA’s commitment to providing excellent service beyond accounting, while also expanding opportunities within these sectors.
“Combining our resources and knowledge base will allow us to provide our clients a wider array of services, as well as more depth,” said Doug Zezoff, Principal at ZY.

Another big factor for ZY in deciding to merge was BFBA’s established succession planning expertise. In addition to advising clients on this important topic, BFBA has utilized their own proficiency in succession planning with clients to establish an internal plan for adding the next generation of partners.
“We felt it was important to create a succession plan to ensure our clients’ tax and accounting needs will be met in the future, as well as providing a plan for our employees,” said Zezoff.
The merger highlights BFBA’s continued growth in recent years. Since 2000, BFBA has seen revenue growth in excess of 700% in spite of the economic recession during that period. BFBA is currently the largest, single-location CPA firm in the region, with 15 partners and 68 professionals working for the firm.

ZY will be moving into BFBA’s office at 83 Scripps Drive, Suite 210, Sacramento later this year.
