Working for a Big 4 firm gave him a broad array of experience, including working on the tax returns for Bay Area companies such as Ross Stores and The North Face, as well as local giants including The Sleep Train and Panattoni Development Company.
After almost six years with Deloitte, Chris joined BFBA in 2004.

Chris brings experience in complex tax issues and opportunities. As a tax partner, Chris is responsible for the efficient management of engagement teams to provide accurate and timely tax returns. In addition, Chris analyzes his clients’ complex tax issues and concerns to offer tax-saving strategies. Chris enjoys finding answers to his clients’ problems.
Industry Expertise
Having grown up in a family owned real estate development and management business, Chris naturally gravitated toward the real estate industry. In a short time, he was working on all of the real estate accounts at Deloitte’s Sacramento office.
Since coming to BFBA he has continued his focus in this industry. In addition, he has broadened his expertise with construction contractors and closely held and family owned businesses in other industries.
Chris specializes in partnership and LLC taxation including consulting concerning the allocation issues these entities encounter with multiple owners and varying interests.

Community Involvement
Chris volunteers as an Assistant Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts of America. This allows him to spend time with his son camping, canoeing, and sometimes freezing in the outdoors. In addition, he has directed the local Friends of Scouting campaign fundraiser for his area. As a Career Day instructor, he has worked hard to encourage young people to go to college and teach them about the CPA profession.

Beyond Work.
Chris’ four children keep him busy. All of them play soccer and some play competitively. His Saturdays are spent traveling around Northern California and watching soccer. In addition, Chris enjoys golfing, boating, and snow skiing. He and his wife, Lisa, enjoy traveling to warm, tropical beaches.
